Zermatt

After a beautiful drive through the mountains and train trip we arrived at Zermatt. I don't have the photos at the moment, but the drive over the Grand St Benard pass was spectacular (scarey in my case as I am not to good with the narrow steep roads) and hell cold. We got out of the car at the boarder and nilly froze to death ;p

Any way back to Zermatt. Unfortuantly a few things where closed so we could not do what we originally might have. Instead we took a train up the mountains. We had a great time and the view was glorious. I bet it looks awesome in Winter

Italy - Stresa 12th Oct 2009

So after getting up early in the morning to catch our flight to Milan, we arrived in Italy. Tired and weary after waiting in line for what seemed like for ever to hire a car, we hit the road and headed to Stresa. Well we had an eventful drive, on the Autobahn and the widing roads to Stresa. The staff at our hotel where lovely and we were lucky enought to get an upgrade =) YAY. The view was spectacular, all the colours are very strong. Great greens and blues. I would definatly be happy to visit again!

London 11th October 2009

So we arrived into London after a 24 hr flight at about 6 or 7 am. Luckly we could book into our hotel (for a fee of course, which included breaky at least) and have a much needed shower. We decided to head into London so we could try and get used to the time zone change instead of just hitting the hay. We took a big bus tour and checked out the city until. about 4pm, when we where completly stuffed! We decided to try and get a good nights sleep ready for our flight in the morning.

Just a quick note

unfortunatly internet access has been pretty limited so far. I hope to update with photos soon. I am doing well though and everything is lovely. Hopefully we will get a connection sorted in Zermatt tomorrow!

Something a bit diffrent

I started something a bit different a few days ago. I visited my parents on the weekend and took some shot of some of the flowers around their garden. I decided I might try my hand at drawing some cyclamen. I did not really like the background in the actual photo so I tried blacking the background to see if I can get the flowers to stand out a bit. We will see how it ends up, sometimes you just have to try something to see how it goes. I hoped to get this done before I head to London on Saturday but unfortuantly I don't think it will get done as I need to pack tomorrow. Be sure to stay tuned into the blog thought for the next few weeks as I will be posting updates on my journey around the alps and the UK!
